You can preview your website before you update your domain names DNS, this is a standard feature of all our web hosting packages, this is a very handy feaure as you can test the website prior to setting the domain live on our web hosting service. To upload the website files to your new UK Web Hosting space with us you need to use the web servers Hostname for the FTP hostname to allow the upload of your files before DNS propagation and then you can preview your website using the following method:
http://HOSTNAME/~USERNAME/
Where "HOSTNAME" is the hostname provided in your activation email and "USERNAME" is your control panel username as provided in your activation email.
NOTE: Some scripts and mod_rewrite rules will not function correctly until DNS fully propagates, the above method for previewing your site will allow you to check all your links and images, etc are loading ok.
