Before we can release a domain to a new registrar the following requirements must be met:

1. Any outstanding invoices for the domain renewal must be paid in full.
2. For new registrations or recently transferred in domains, the domain needs to have been registered with us for over 60 days before we can release it to a new registrar.

As long as the above conditions are met, if you wish to transfer you domain name away please follow the instructions below:

 

UK Domain Transfers

1. Login to your secure Customer Portal account.
2. From the My Services & Domains menu select Domain Names.
3. Find the domain you wish to transfer away from the list of domain and click on the Managed button.
4. From the domain details screen first click on the Disable Auto Renew button to disable the auto renewal for your domain.
5. Next scroll down the domain details screen to the Release Domain option.
6. Enter the new Registrar Tag into the field provided and click on the Save Changes button.
7. Depending on the registrar you are releasing the domain name too your domain will instantly be released to the new registrar.

 

Non-UK Domain Transfers

1. Login to your secure Customer Portal account.
2. From the My Services & Domains menu select Domain Names.
3. Find the domain you wish to transfer away from the list of domain and click on the Managed button.
4. From the domain details screen first click on the Disable Auto Renew button to disable the auto renewal for your domain.
5. Now click on the Disable Registrar Lock button to unlock the domain for transfer.
6. Next scroll down to the Management Tools section at the bottom of the screen and click on the Contact Information button. Ensure all details shown on the Contact Information screen are correct, updating where needed then click the Back button to return to the domain details.
7. From the domain details screen scroll back down to the Management Tools and click on the Request EPP Key this will then either be emailed to the listed registrant email address or displayed on the screen.
8. You can now start the transfer process with your new domain registrar.

By requesting to transfer your domain away we will automatically cancel your domain in our system which means you will no longer be able to manage your domain through us.
